Food is considered, in all cultures, the currency of society. It has the ability to enrich, entertain and give pleasure as well. For some people, food is considered a necessity to satisfy basic needs, while for others, it is considered more than a basic necessity, but rather a pleasure that plays an active role in the concept of happiness. There are many different restaurants and tastes developed by cultural and ethnic backgrounds, geographic locations and social classes. Food tells us a lot about the history and the customs of different people as well as religions. The changes that people use in serving food, the tastes of serving according to research in different countries, and other elements that allow the measurement and analysis of food evolution, help to understand history. Some of the recipes that we keep through generations with these ancient customs and knowledge are untouchable aspects.
Have you ever wondered about the food you eat every day? How can it tell you where you come from? Have you ever wondered why people from different countries of the world eat different types of food? Have you ever asked yourself why different foods or cooking habits are so important to your culture? There is a close relationship between food and culture, as food production associated with family culture is a symbol of pride and a way to keep up with homesickness. All the peoples of the world are distinguished by their popular dishes that go back thousands of years. Food has historical roots and stories that have entered the country’s customs, traditions and folklore. The Arab and Eastern cuisine has the biggest share of these foods with the flavor of ancient history and successive civilizations over time. Each Arab country has its own distinctive character in providing forms of foods that add spices to their beauty and unique flavors. Through my travels, I have collected distinguished images of the customs of many peoples and cultures in preparing their dishes, whether they are eastern or western.
